I sat down with Grace from Now Known Socials to chat about her business, her recent engagement, and her dream day!

Gracie Girl grew up just down the road from me. We also went to the same primary school, and being similar ages has meant we have been in each other’s orbit since then! I am a huge supporter of whatever Grace puts her name to. She’s ambitious, has an inspiring zest for life, and is oh-so-clever!!

Grace. Gracie Girl or Toozey, depends who’s asking. I’m a lover of all things creative. If I’m not capturing content, I’m on a beach, likely taking piccies of shells and water sparkles. I’m all in or nothing. A blessing and a curse.

You run a super successful business called Now Known Socials. What drove you to start NKS? Tell us about the business!

Oh stop it! For those who have followed my journey, they’ll know I’m quite the entrepreneur. Over the years I’ve dabbled in MANY things, but my heart was always something more creative. After running a jewellery business (all designed by me), I woke up one day and realised that it was the creative side of the business that warmed my soul. So, I chased it, sprinted with it if you will, and created NKS - A social media marketing agency based in Perth, WA. I create ‘scroll stopping content’ for a wide range of Perth businesses and I LOVE IT.

You already work with some incredible brands and businesses. Who is your dream client for Now Known Socials?

I do indeed and I pinch myself everyday for it! The little voice in the back of my head is screaming Vogue, as a business uni student I always thought to myself how much I’d love to work in the Vogue office… who knows? One day, maybe?

You’ve just got engaged to your boy Lew!! Do you want this opportunity to talk about it again??

I will scream it from the rooftops until the end of time!!! The LOML and I are getting MARRIED. I’m still not sure it’s sunk in yet. I don’t know if it ever will. Being in-love is so fucking great.

What is the best stay you’ve ever had? What do you think made it stand out?

Lew and I stayed in this beautiful little cabin in Seymour, East Coast TAS. This was back in 2021 and I still think about it to this day. It was just so simple, everything we needed, not a thing more, looking out on the ocean. We drank wine, made pasta from scratch and sat in the hot tub yapping all night. Perfection.

Where is your next holiday destination? What’s on the agenda? Where are you thinking of honeymooning??

Next holiday is Broome for a month! I’m a sucker for the place. It’s also super special now after getting engaged there.

Honeymoon… somewhere tropical! Maybe Vietnam?

If someone had 48 hours in Perth, what would you suggest they do?

First up an early AM HGW along the Cottesloe coast (with a coffee from Longview in hand), I’d pack your togs, and then go for a post-walk dip in-front of the surf life saving club. If you’re feeling peckish after that, I’d head down to Beach Bus for the best açai bowls you’ll ever eat. Pack your bags and jump in the car and head down to Margs. It’s just divine. Book yourself a wine tour, you won’t regret it.

What does your perfect day look like from start to finish?

I’d wake up at the crack of dawn, head to the gym and then go for a HGW. Then, I’d pop home, quickly put my togs on and zip back down to the beach to play mermaids for the best part of the day. Then perhaps a sunset Aperol and a bowl of fries. I’m a REALLY simple girl.

FAST FINISH: Favourite city, favourite beach, favourite restaurant, and dream destination…

Fav city? Broome (it’s kinda a town tho?), Fav beach? Barred Creek (in Broome, shock horror). Fav restaurant? Ocean spice (the BEST Thai food you’ll ever eat). Maldives (I think about travelling there often).
