Numeroventi - Florence
NUMEROVENTI
Florence is one of the easiest places to romanticise your life. A city filled with cobblestone streets that smell like leather and espresso. A city full of tourists with gelato running down their arms. A city where you stay out late drinking carafes of wine and ordering more than one dinner. A city where getting lost feels like part of the plan.
Picture this, you turn down a street filled with windows framed in stone and heavy wooden doors with fancy knockers, there she is - Numeroventi - behind a tall double door that doesn't care to announce itself. A different kind of offering, an artist’s way. A slower, stripped back boutique hotel. The kind of place that trades maximalism for minimalism, without losing the magic.
Numeroventi is located right in the heart of Florence, in the historical Palazzo Galli Tassi, a former Syrup Factory, Casa Nobile, and Ministry of Agriculture, with roots dating back to 1510. The prime location allows you to explore the city’s attractions on foot.
Numeroventi is an interdisciplinary residency for artists, encouraging community and creativity to flourish. It is a quiet and contemplative space, allowing art without pretension. It felt like staying in a gallery, with a wide stone staircase, seriously high ceilings, a courtyard with a fountain, statues, and intention in every corner.
There are multiple lofts to choose from. I stayed in Loft 1, with painted ceilings, and the bay window of my dreams, I perched on the stone step with a rosé (bottle) and listened to the sounds of the street wafting upwards. The space offers a shared kitchen, but with so many beautiful restaurants so close, it felt rude not to indulge.
Numeroventi was made all the more special when I ran into a gorgeous friend from Australia - Yasmin. We were both wandering the streets (both very lost) and both had no plans for the rest of the day. Pizza, pasta, wine, gelato & sunset over the Arno River became our plan. It was heaven.
Numeroventi holds a special place in my heart, I hope it has the same effect on you.
Stray beautiful,
BEAR.
